On a windy day in February 2018, I was snowshoeing up the Norwegian mountains with friends. After a tough two-hour hike, we spotted a group of muskox in the distance.
Climbing the snow-covered slopes to observe and document them in their natural element made me feel as if I was stepping back into another age.
This species has survived the changes of our planet through years of overhunting and is now protected.
The resilience of the muskox serves as a reminder to conserve and protect our wildlife and wild places.
